Wet, this is all parchment. As it dries, the parchment scent loses its sharpness and gains more muskiness. I don't detect much incense. My mom likes this one a lot, since Dee is too heavy for her. However, I love Dee so much that this one falls short of my expectations. That parchment note is to sharp for me and I really was hoping for more incense. But if you're looking for a lighter type of "book" scent, this is a good one for you.
